Clinical Services
Our approach is holistic – we make sure to acknowledge all of the factors that may be contributing to the illness, and our treatment plans address these factors in a systematic way. Our aim is to provide quality mental health care to our patients.
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
With advanced training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, we are experienced in treating all types of childhood onset conditions. Not only is childhood and adolescence an important period of brain development, it is often a stressful period in life. Due to a host of factors including genetics, brain formation and environmental stress, children may suffer from psychiatric symptoms that range from mild to severe. These include developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), anxiety, depression, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), PTSD (Posttraumatic Stress Disorder), Bipolar Disorder, and Psychotic Disorders including Schizophrenia.
We are experienced in treating and managing all of these illnesses. Childhood onset illnesses can have a deep impact on individuals and the family, and early intervention is critical – the earlier treatment is made available, the better the prognosis.
Adult Psychiatry
Psychiatric illness is extremely prevalent. Estimates show that approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experiences mental illness in any given year. The prevalence of Schizophrenia is a little over 1%, of Bipolar Disorder over 2.5%, and close to 7% of adults have a Major Depressive Episode in a given year. Serious Mental Illness costs Americans over $193 billion in lost earnings in a year; suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S., and the 2nd leading cause in ages 15-24.
We provide treatment for a wide variety of psychiatric illnesses and syndromes, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, psychosis, Schizophrenia, and Bipolar Disorder.
